Gribbly's Day Out

1985 · Platform · Commodore 64

Overview

Gribbly's Day Out (1985) is Andrew Braybrook's Commodore 64 game for Hewson, in which Gribbly Grobbly hops and floats about rescuing the little gribblets.

Deep Dive

Gribbly hops and levitates around each level, blowing bubbles to defend himself, and carries stranded gribblets to safety. The enemies change through several forms, from seed pods to Topsies, chrysalises, Stompers and Fliers. When only one gribblet is left, the energy web fails and Seon is set free.

Developer Story

Braybrook designed and programmed it, and Hewson Consultants published it in 1985, later reissuing a revised version on its Rack-It budget label.
