Ghosts 'n Goblins (NES)

1986 · Platform · NES

Overview

The NES Ghosts 'n Goblins (1986) is Micronics' conversion of Capcom's arcade game, the first Famicom game on a 128 KB cartridge, which sold 1.64 million copies.

Deep Dive

As in the arcade original, the knight Arthur loses his armour to the first hit and his life to the second. Micronics programmed the conversion and Capcom published it, with music by the original composer, Ayako Mori.

Developer Story

It came out on the Famicom in Japan in June 1986 and on the NES in North America that November. A hidden credits screen confirms Ayako Mori as composer. It sold 1.64 million copies and later appeared on the Virtual Console and the NES Classic Edition.
