1992 · Beat 'em up · Arcade
X-Men (1992) is Konami's arcade beat 'em up for up to six players, whose deluxe cabinet joined two screens into one wide display.
Cyclops, Colossus, Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler and Dazzler fight to stop Magneto. Each has a mutant power that hits many enemies at once but costs three health points. The character designs come from the 1989 TV pilot Pryde of the X-Men.
Konami released it in North America in March 1992. It was one of the five highest-grossing dedicated arcade games in the US that year and topped RePlay's deluxe cabinet chart from May to October. Backbone Entertainment ported it to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010.
