Summer Games (1984) is Epyx's unofficial Olympics for up to eight players on the Commodore 64, the first in a long line of multi-event sports games.
Up to eight players compete in a series of Olympic-style events, among them the pole vault, platform diving, sprinting, gymnastics, freestyle swimming and skeet shooting; the exact line-up varies between versions. Medals score five points for gold, three for silver and one for bronze toward an overall winner. Without an official licence, the competition is presented simply as the 'Epyx Games'.
Epyx released Summer Games for the Commodore 64 in 1984, the year of the Los Angeles Olympics. It was converted to the Apple II, Atari computers, Atari 2600 and 7800, ZX Spectrum, Master System, Amiga and Atari ST, published in the UK first by Quicksilva and later by U.S. Gold.
