Overview

Snow Bros. (1990) is Toaplan's arcade platform game, in which the snowman twins Nick and Tom bury enemies in snow and roll them into giant snowballs.

Deep Dive

Nick and Tom, snowman twins in blue and red overalls, fight through 50 stages to rescue the princesses Puripuri and Puchipuchi, with a boss on every tenth stage. They throw snow to bury enemies, then roll or kick the snowballs to take out others. Coloured potions boost speed, snow power, throwing distance or let the player fly, and a pumpkin head appears if players take too long.

Developer Story

Toaplan released it in Japanese arcades in April 1990, with Romstar distributing it in North America. Versions followed for the Game Boy, NES and Mega Drive, and Snow Bros. 2 (1994) was Toaplan's last arcade project.

Did You Know?
