Overview

Mega Man X2 (1994) is Capcom's sequel, in which X battles the three X-Hunters to win back the parts of Zero's body, using the Cx4 chip for wireframe 3D effects.

Deep Dive

The X-Hunters Serges, Agile and Violen taunt X with Zero's remains, and beating each earns one of his parts. Collecting all three before the end changes the finale.

Developer Story

Tokuro Fujiwara produced it, with Keiji Inafune among the designers and artists. It came out in Japan in December 1994. Critics praised its graphics and sound, though some wanted more change from the first Mega Man X.
