Overview

Mega Man 7 (1995) is the original series' Super NES entry, made in about three months, which introduced Bass and his robot wolf Treble.

Deep Dive

Only four Robot Masters can be chosen at first, with the rest unlocking after they fall. Auto runs a shop where bolts buy items, and a password opens a hidden two-player fighting mode. Bass and Treble appear as allies but turn out to be working for Dr. Wily.

Developer Story

Yoshihisa Tsuda directed it under producer Tokuro Fujiwara, on a schedule of about three months. It came out in Japan in March 1995. Reviewers liked its presentation and challenge but felt it did little new.
