Overview

Kula World (1998), released as Roll Away in North America, is a PlayStation puzzle-platformer in which a beach ball rolls over floating structures where gravity follows it round every edge.

Deep Dive

The player rolls a beach ball across floating structures, collecting keys to unlock the exit along with coins and jewels. Gravity turns with the ball as it rolls over edges, so walls become floors. One fruit hidden in each stage unlocks bonus levels in which every cube must be activated. Falling off, hitting spikes or running out of time costs points, and the game ends if the score drops below zero.

Developer Story

Game Design Sweden developed it, and Sony released it in Europe on 10 July 1998, with Psygnosis publishing it in North America as Roll Away. IGN gave it 8.9 out of 10.
