Cadillacs and Dinosaurs

1993 · Beat 'em up · Arcade

Overview

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (1993) is Capcom's three-player beat 'em up based on the comic Xenozoic Tales, in which four heroes fight poachers hunting dinosaurs in the 26th century.

Deep Dive

In the 26th century Jack, Hannah, Mustapha and Mess fight the Black Marketeers, a gang hunting dinosaurs, whose mastermind is Dr. Simon Fessenden. Up to three players fight through eight stages using guns, thrown objects and melee weapons, and two or more players together can launch a team attack. A defeated player gets a 20-second countdown to continue, with a villain holding a gun to their head.

Developer Story

Capcom released the game in April 1993 on its CP System Dash board. Computer and Video Games gave it 89/100, and it was among Japan's most popular arcade games that June.
