Transport Tycoon (1994) is Chris Sawyer's business simulation, written entirely in assembly language, in which the player builds a transport empire by road, rail, sea and air.
The player runs a transport company from 1930 to 2030 on a randomly generated map, building routes to carry passengers and cargo for profit.
Sawyer designed and programmed it in x86 assembly, with music by John Broomhall. MicroProse published it for MS-DOS in November 1994, and Transport Tycoon Deluxe followed a year later. PC Gamer gave it 91/100, though reviewers criticised the manual and the computer opponents.
