Overview

Rock n' Roll Racing (1993) is Silicon & Synapse's isometric combat racer, set to licensed rock and heavy metal songs and called by announcer "Loudmouth Larry".

Deep Dive

Four racers drive four laps of isometric tracks scattered with mines, power-ups, oil, snow and lava, and up to two people can play. Destroying rival cars earns bonuses, and between races the money goes on upgrades, each of which can be raised up to seven times. The soundtrack uses licensed rock and heavy metal songs, and Larry "Supermouth" Huffman provides the commentary.

Developer Story

Silicon & Synapse, later renamed Blizzard Entertainment, developed the game with extra work from Software Creations. Interplay released it for the Super NES on 4 June 1993, followed by a Mega Drive version in 1994.
