SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium (1999) is SNK's Neo Geo Pocket Color crossover fighter, with 26 characters from both companies and the best seller on the system in Japan.
Deep Dive
Fighters battle one-on-one, in tag teams of two or in teams of three. Players choose between three meter systems, one Capcom-style, one SNK-style and one neutral. An Olympic mode of minigames earns points that unlock extras in other games, including on the Dreamcast.
Developer Story
SNK developed and published it in December 1999. It sold about 75,000 copies in Japan, and was re-released on Switch and Windows in 2021.
