Donkey Kong Land (1995) is Rare's Game Boy version of the Donkey Kong Country formula, sold on banana-yellow cartridges, and the best-selling Donkey Kong game on the system.
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong cross 30 levels to recover the banana hoard stolen by King K. Rool, in a game adapted from the SNES Donkey Kong Country.
Rare developed it and Nintendo released it in North America in June 1995, and in Japan as Super Donkey Kong GB. Critics praised how well it carried over Country's play, visuals and music.
