Tara Strong

Canadian · b. 1973 · 1990s – present

Tara Strong is one of the most prolific voice actors in game and animation history, with a range spanning Bubbles in The Powerpuff Girls, Harley Quinn, Twilight Sparkle, and dozens of game characters across four decades.

Tara Strong began acting in Canadian television as a child and established herself as a voice actress throughout the 1990s, accumulating an extraordinary range of child, female, and creature characters. Her game work reflects the breadth of her animation career: she has voiced principal roles across RPGs, action games, fighting games, and licensed titles on virtually every platform. Her Harley Quinn for the Batman: Arkham series — taken over from Arleen Sorkin, who originated the character — required her to find the dangerous volatility beneath the comedy that the games' darker tone demanded, and her work in Arkham City and beyond has been widely praised. Strong is notable in the voice acting community for her public advocacy of voice actors' professional rights and for her unusually active direct engagement with fans through social media, which has made her one of the most recognisable voice actors by personal presence as well as by work.
