Alien vs. Predator

1994 · First-Person Shooter · Atari Jaguar

Overview

Alien vs. Predator was among the most technically impressive first-person shooters of its era — 3D corridor shooting with genuine atmosphere, three playable species with different mechanics.

Deep Dive

Rebellion's Alien vs. Predator let players choose between Marine, Alien, and Predator — each with fundamentally different movement and combat mechanics. The Marine played as a conventional FPS; the Alien could crawl on walls and ceilings; the Predator used thermal vision and shoulder cannon.

Developer Story

Alien vs. Predator was developed by Rebellion Developments for Atari. It was one of the few Jaguar games that delivered on the hardware's technical potential.
